Barranc de l’Espunya o Torrent de Gol

The Barranc de l'Espunya or Torrent de Gol is a long, sustained canyon with 20 rappels, the longest being 40m. The approach takes 40 minutes, but requires a high-clearance vehicle or 4x4 for easier access to the starting point near Collet de Peguera. Anchors are well-maintained parabolts and spits. This canyon is best enjoyed in spring, summer, or autumn after rains, as water levels can vary. A wetsuit is recommended depending on the flow. The descent is long, around 3 hours, with a significant vertical drop of 300m over 1100m of course. There is one escape route available. The return walk takes about 1 hour. This route offers a challenging and extended canyoning experience.
