Barranco del Buitre Inferior o Cerrada de Lezar

The Barranco del Buitre Inferior, also known as Cerrada de Lezar, is a short and aquatic canyon with 9 rappels, the longest being 25m. The approach is very short, just 2 minutes from the ruins of Majada de Leza, descending directly to the streambed. Anchors are well-equipped with chemical bolts and parabolts. The descent starts with a 5m rappel into a knee-deep pool, followed by an 8m rappel into another pool, and a 4m rappel. The 4m and 3m rappels (R4 and R5) can be linked. After a 3m rappel over an embedded block, there's a 6m rappel or a cable traverse. The highlight is an aesthetic 25m rappel through a water-carved tube, with alternative anchors for high flow. The return walk is 20 minutes.
