Torrent de Cal Patzi o Font dels Avets
The Torrent de Cal Patzi, also known as Font dels Avets, is a short and aesthetic canyon located in La Nou de Berguedà. The approach is only 5 minutes from the parking area in front of the sports zone, following the road and then a path marked with wooden signs to a wooden bridge at the torrent. The descent, taking about an hour, starts immediately with a 10m rappel into a shallow pool, notable for a semi-open cave formation. After a slippery downclimb, the main event is a 23m rappel over a mossy tufa, which is often dry at the reception. A final 9m rappel, though marked by graffiti, is also quite scenic. Anchors are well-maintained chemical bolts with double rings. This canyon is rated v3-a2-II, indicating moderate vertical difficulty and aquatic features, but no significant commitment. A shorty wetsuit is recommended. The return walk is a quick 5 minutes back to the parking via an asphalt track. Two 25m ropes are required.
