The Canal del Ase is a K3 via ferrata with some equipped sections, but lacking a continuous life line. The approach from the Parrizal walkways takes 45 minutes, passing cave paintings. The route involves short climbs with staples, some loose, and a narrow, impressive corridor. There are sections with separated staples, knotted ropes, and a vertical wall with a fixed rope. The ascent continues up a steep, somewhat loose gully marked with red paint. After a final roped rock section, a short walk following cairns and red marks leads to the start of the Canal de las Peonies torrent in a wooded area. This route is rated v3 a1 III, with 10 rappels, the longest being 28m, and requires 2x30m ropes. No wetsuit is needed.
