Canal del Gat K3
Canal del Gat in Montserrat is primarily an ascent route (K3) with an optional descent. The 15-minute approach from the Coves de Salnitre parking leads to a dirty, decomposed ramp. The ascent involves several short rope sections (2m, 2m, 3m) and a 15m section that requires climbing the first 5m to reach the rope. Anchors are in poor condition, requiring extreme caution. For the descent, Canal del Xacó offers 8 rappels, the longest being 30m, and takes 2 hours. A 2x30m or 1x60m rope is needed. No wetsuit is required for either route. The return from Canal del Xacó takes 10 minutes.
