Canal del Moro K4
The Canal del Moro is an ascent route, not a canyon descent. The approach from Santa Cecília parking takes 15 minutes, crossing the road and following GR marks to the right, then left for 500m to the canal entrance. The ascent involves easy scrambling sections with fixed ropes. Highlights include a challenging section with a pink and black rope, a long rope traverse, and a very vertical section over a log. The route passes a cave that is best avoided by going right. The final section is loose terrain among trees to a pass. After crossing the pass, the descent is via Canal dels Avellaners, a loose gully with minimal scrambling, using trees for aid. The return to the car takes 10 minutes along the GR. No rope or wetsuit is needed for this route.
