Canal Patxi is a dry canyon located near Horta de Sant Joan, offering a technical descent with four rappels. The approach takes 15 minutes from a marked parking area on the road to Parc Natural dels Ports. Follow signs for Els Estrets, cross the river, and then ascend a path with cairns, eventually entering Canal de Magí. Upon exiting, turn left along the edge to find Canal Patxi. The 200m descent, lasting 2 hours, features four rappels on stainless steel parabolts. The first is a 35m rappel over sloped sections. The second is a similar 20m rappel over a somewhat loose ramp, with a high anchor. The third is a 20m vertical rappel, and the final 35m rappel is the most vertical and aesthetic. No wetsuit is needed. Rated v4-a1-II, this canyon is technically demanding but with minimal aquatic challenges and moderate commitment. The installations are in excellent condition. The return walk is a quick 10 minutes, crossing the river and following the same approach path back to the car. Two 40m ropes are required.
