Barranc del Centenar
The Barranc del Centenar is a short, well-equipped canyon with 9 rappels, the longest being 48m. The approach takes 35 minutes, following signs for El Chorrador, then ascending a steep path with cairns to the top. The descent is 1.5 hours, with a 10-minute return. The canyon features short, sometimes slippery rappels into pools. The first rappel is 6m, followed by a 7m rappel into a large pool. Subsequent rappels are 7m, 7m, and 7m. Anchors are generally good, with parabolts and spits. Full wetsuits are recommended. The last waterfall may be dry, but pools usually have water. It's important to change away from the Molino del Vilar due to past complaints. The canyon starts where it crosses a cemented track. This route is suitable for those looking for a relatively quick descent with good equipment.
