Barranco de Chardal Integral
The Chardal Integral canyon is a sustained vertical route with 16 rappels, the longest being 40m, in a white rock environment. The approach from Sin village takes 45 minutes, involving a climb parallel to the canyon, crossing a scree slope, and following a faint path to the riverbed. Long sleeves are advisable due to loose sections. The descent features several rappels, including an 8m and a 13m drop, followed by a 7m rappel by a large wedged block. After some downclimbs, a 14m rappel leads to a section of narrow, interesting meanders. Anchors are excellent stainless steel parabolts. Consult water levels before going. Multiple escape routes are available. A 2x45m rope is needed, and a wetsuit top is recommended. The return walk takes 20 minutes.
