Barranc de les Espones Inferior

Les Espones Inferior is a short, well-equipped canyon near Mont-ros, suitable for beginners. The approach is 15 minutes from the upper parking in Mont-ros, following a track that becomes a path to the canyon. A car combination is possible, leaving a car at the bridge 700m from the Mont-ros turn-off. The descent includes 8 rappels, with the longest being 12m. The first rappel is 5m from a single point to small cascades. The canyon typically has water in its pools during summer. All anchors are chemical bolts, indicating good equipment. A full wetsuit and a 30m rope are needed. The return walk is very short, just 5 minutes. This canyon is a good option for those looking for a quick and accessible descent with reliable anchoring.
