Barranco Estret de les Penyes o Bolulla

The Estret de les Penyes canyon, also known as Bolulla, is a short and aquatic route with a 20-minute approach from the parking near L'Algar. The canyon usually has water due to numerous springs, so caution is advised with high flow. A full wetsuit and a 50m rope are recommended. The descent includes 5 rappels, with the longest being 20m. The first rappel can be done as an 11m drop if the pool is dry, or through a small hole to a cave for a jump. There's also a fixed rope for repeating jumps and two bolts for a guided rappel. Subsequent rappels are short downclimbs of 4m. The most scenic section is near the end, where an escape route is available via a canalization next to a dam. Installations are very good, with parabolts. The return walk is a quick 10 minutes.
