Barranco Fou de Manyaques

The Barranco Fou de Manyaques is a canyon with 15 rappels, the longest being 13m, equipped with stainless steel bolts. The approach is a quick 15-minute walk from the upper parking near Mas de Cos, descending cross-country to the streambed. The first part of the descent involves walking through vegetation before reaching the rappels. The descent includes a 10m rappel on a slippery ramp, a 6m downclimbable passage, and a 3m rappel into a shallow pool. Subsequent rappels are short, around 3-4m, leading through various pools. A shorty wetsuit is recommended due to the aquatic nature. The canyon offers a 10-minute return walk to the lower parking at Fontaine des Quatre Platanes. The route was recently re-equipped in 2023, ensuring good anchor conditions.
