Barranc de la Fou
The Barranc de la Fou is an aquatic canyon with 12 rappels, the longest being 31m, typically featuring pools with water. The approach takes 1.5 hours from La Sènia, following the T-1040 towards Ulldecona reservoir, then a long track to the La Fou recreational area. Parking options exist both lower down and higher up, with the upper track being steep and gravelly. The descent begins with a somewhat precarious 9m rappel from a tree. After some downclimbs, a narrow section leads to a 6m rappel into a shallow pool, with an alternative anchor. An escape route is available after the initial downclimbs. The return walk is a short 5 minutes.
