Rasa de Foubes o Riera de Montclar o Barranc de l’Espunyola

This canyon, also known as Riera de Montclar, is located near L'Espunyola and offers 4 rappels, the longest being 18m. The approach is short, only 10 minutes up a steep track to a dam. The canyon can be dry or carry water from the dam, requiring a full wetsuit if wet. The descent begins with an 18m rappel from the dam's railing, which is long and ensures you get wet. Alternatively, you can bypass this first rappel. It is followed by a comfortable 12m rappel into a beautiful pool, likely to get you wet again. After some smaller drops, a third 18m rappel from a central anchor leads into another pool, with some rope friction possible. The final rappel is a 4m drop from a tree, which can also be downclimbed. The equipment is generally good, using spits, trees, and parabolts. Several escape routes are available. The return walk takes 30 minutes. The canyon is rated v3-a1-II and requires two 25m ropes.
