Barranco Garganta de las Gloces
The Garganta de las Gloces, near Fanlo, has a 20-minute approach from the village, descending a track and then a path to the streambed. The canyon is equipped with good chemical and parabolt anchors. The descent begins after a couple of short toboggans, with two rappels of 12m and 13m leading into a narrow section. A short, downclimbable 5m rappel follows, then a 4m toboggan into a pool. After some downclimbing, including a fixed rope from a cave, an 8m rappel to a small pool can be tricky with high water. The final 4m rappel precedes the canyon opening up. For the 30-minute return, you can take a steep path directly left or continue 200m downstream for an easier zigzagging trail. A full wetsuit and a single 30m rope are needed.
