The Barranc Llau de Llavaneres is a generally dry canyon with a 20-minute approach across open fields from Estavill. The descent takes about 2 hours and includes three rappels, the longest being 12m. The route can be shortened by bypassing the first tributary. The first rappel is an 8m drop from a tree, followed by a nice 12m rappel in a more enclosed section. The final rappel is a shorter 7m drop. Anchors are a mix of parabolts and spits, with some needing reinforcement. Several escape routes are available. The return walk is 15 minutes, following a faint path to a bridge. No wetsuit is needed, and a 2x15m rope is sufficient.
