The Barranco de la Mina or Barranco de los Morenos, near Albuñol, is a dry canyon with 12 rappels, the longest being 23m. The 30-minute approach starts from Molino de las Arcas, reached via an asphalted track from Albuñol. No wetsuit is needed, but a headlamp is recommended to explore the Geode Mine. The descent begins with downclimbs over rock blocks. Shortly after, on the right, is the entrance to the Geode Mine, which has bifurcations and requires caution due to potential rockfalls. The first rappels are short (3-5m), followed by longer ones up to 17m, which offer a more engaging experience. The 15m rappel can be done in one go or split into two (6m + 10m). Anchors are equipped with bolts and chains. The return walk is a short 10 minutes. A 2x25m rope is needed.
