Barranc de la Morrera + Vía Ferrata del Bisbe o Morrera K2
Barranc de la Morrera is a dry canyon with two rappels, the longest being 38m, requiring two 40m ropes. The approach takes 15 minutes from the Castell de Montclús parking, following a track to a flat area, then descending right to the torrent bed. No wetsuit is needed. The first rappel is a beautiful 30m descent from two parabolts with chain and ring, leading to the bottom of the canyon. After a short walk, a cable handrail leads to the second rappel, a longer and more vertical 38m descent from two parabolts, landing in a tree. The recovery rope should be passed under the cable. After the rappels, avoid descending a cemented area with poor ropes/cables. Instead, turn left and follow a difficult-to-trace path through dense vegetation to the FGC railway tracks. Stick to the right of the tracks, avoiding tunnels, until you reach the base of the next section. The return walk is long, taking 2 hours.
