Canyon de la Neste de Saux Combinación

The Neste de Saux canyon is a highly aquatic and committing descent with 14 rappels, the longest being 20m. The approach is very short, just 3 minutes from the upper parking area behind a hut. The descent takes about 1.5 hours. The canyon features a mix of rappels and potential jumps, depending on water levels. The first rappel is a 10m downclimbable ramp. Subsequent rappels include a 12m cascade into a shallow pool, a 5m rappel (or 3m jump option), and a 4m or 15m rappel through intermediate pools that can have strong hydraulics. Anchors are generally good parabolts. A full wetsuit is essential due to the high water flow. Two 25m ropes are required. There are no escape routes, making this a committing canyon. The return walk is a quick 10 minutes.
