Barranco del Otonel o Doncella Combinación
The Otonel canyon, also known as Doncella, is an aquatic route near Dos Aguas, requiring a full wetsuit and two 60m ropes. The approach is a short 5-minute walk from the upper parking, quickly reaching the water. The canyon features a mix of rappels and toboggans, with good quality chemical and parabolt anchors. The descent begins with a 25m rappel into a boxed-in section, passing under an arch, followed by a 12m rappel. Two toboggans, one long and gentle, the other ending in a deep pool, add to the fun. Subsequent rappels include a 15m ramp and a 20m drop into a large chamber. The highlight is the spectacular 55m (or 65m) final rappel, which ends in a large pool. The re-equipped anchor on the left makes rope retrieval challenging. Always check water levels, as the canyon is typically aquatic from the start.
