Barranco Padierno o Beranuy
The Padierno or Beranuy canyon, located near Moréns, is a dry canyon with stagnant pools after rain. The approach takes 1 hour, starting from the village and following a track that turns into a zigzagging path. It's possible to descend directly to the sporting section, skipping the uninteresting upper part. The descent involves about 750m of walking and downclimbing through vegetation and avoidable stagnant pools. The first rappel is 5m, leading to a more enclosed area. Subsequent rappels include a 7m drop from an oxidized spit and a thin boxwood, and two 15m rappels. One 15m rappel has a hidden anchor on the ground to the left, with a short free-hanging exit. Another 15m rappel requires descending to an intermediate pool. Anchors are varied and precarious, often combining trees, spits, and parabolts with ropes. A 40m rope is needed, but no wetsuit. The return walk is 20 minutes.
