Torrent del Polvorí Nou Combinación

The Torrent del Polvorí Nou is a dry canyon near Sant Corneli, featuring 3 rappels with the longest being 46m. The approach is a short 10-minute walk across fields, crossing an electrified fence. The first rappel is 8m, followed by the main 46m vertical drop. The third rappel is 12m, with delicate downclimbs, extendable to 31m. Anchors are a mix of spits and parabolts. The descent takes about 1 hour, covering 400m with a 140m vertical drop. The return walk is 20 minutes, involving downclimbing the barranco to a scree slope, then following a track back to the lower parking. A 2x50m rope is needed, and no wetsuit is required. This canyon is easily combined with others due to its short approach and return.
