Ribera dels Pouets
The Ribera dels Pouets canyon, located near Odèn, offers a long and continuous descent with 14 rappels. The approach involves a 1.5-hour uphill walk on a paved track and then a trail, requiring attention to path markers. The route begins with a 200m walk through vegetation, including a narrow section where backpacks must be removed. The descent starts with an 11m rappel from a tree, followed by a 250m bushwhack. Subsequent rappels include a 6m drop from a single M10 parabolt and a 30m walk to the next head. The canyon is equipped correctly, but be prepared for fighting through dense bushes between drops. A 2x60m rope is needed. Escape routes are available throughout the canyon, making it somewhat flexible. The return to the car is immediate upon exiting the canyon, but requires a car shuttle, with one car parked near KM25 and the other near KM22 at Cal Xinquet.
