Barranc de Roi
The Barranc de Roi offers two approach options: a 5-minute walk with two cars from Castell-Estaó, or a 30-minute uphill hike with one car from the L-503, passing old mining vestiges. The canyon is open and features numerous small downclimbs. Anchors are chemical bolts. The first rappel is 5m. The canyon is equipped by J.C. Juderias and J.M. Sicilia since 1992. A 25m rope and full wetsuit are needed. The return walk is very short, taking only 2 minutes. It is important to check the water flow before descending. The canyon is suitable for beginners to intermediate. Note that some online descriptions may not accurately reflect the current state of the route.
