Salt l’Òs
Salt de l'Òs, near Castellar de n'Hug, is a short but aquatic canyon requiring a permit. The 10-minute approach from the parking involves a path to a narrow section with railings, where water flow can be checked. It always has water, and high flow can create drossage and eddies, so caution is advised. The descent is brief, with two rappels. The first is a 5 m jump or rappel from a spit and parabolt, with a handline to avoid strong currents. The second is a 10 m rappel into the base of the waterfall, where water force is significant. A 3 m jump is repeatable by climbing a rope on the right. The return is a quick 10-minute walk along the river back to the car. This canyon is ideal for combining with other activities in the area and requires a single 30 m rope and a full wetsuit.
