The Salt de Sallent or Gurn canyon is located near Sant Privat d’en Bas. Park at the last parking before the barrier, near the Els Pins recreational area. The approach takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, following the Camí dels Matxos and then les Escales. The path ascends the left bank of the Riera del Sallent, with some equipped sections and staples, crossing a wooden bridge before reaching the top. A short descent through the forest leads to a handline and the start of the canyon. The descent takes 2 hours, covering 300 meters with a vertical drop of 170 meters, and includes 6 rappels. All anchors are chemical with chain and double rings. The first rappel is a short 15m drop to a semi-hanging anchor. The second is a 17m rappel to a fully hanging anchor. The third rappel is 35m. Wetsuit use depends on the water flow. Two 50/60m ropes are recommended. There are no escape routes. The return walk is quick, taking only 20 minutes.
