
Torrent de la Baga o Torrent de la Muntanya
The Torrent de la Baga, also known as Torrent de la Muntanya, is a short canyon with an easy 1-minute approach from the Pla de la Barraca parking in Vallcebre. The route is equipped with excellent anchors, typically two chemical bolts with a chain and ring, plus an additional parabolt for safety on some rappels. A 60m rope and full wetsuit are recommended. The descent features 8 rappels, starting with a 10m vertical drop. A 4m rappel follows, which can be downclimbed. The third rappel is a more vertical 14m, then a short 6m drop. The longest rappel is 25m over a slippery ramp. Subsequent rappels include a 9m drop and two downclimbable sections of 3m and 5m, each with a parabolt for rappelling if preferred. There is one escape route available. The return walk is a quick 10 minutes. This canyon can be descended year-round.
