
Torrent de la Corba o Torrent Roig
The Torrent de la Corba, also known as Torrent Roig, is a V3-A2-II canyon in Bruguera, Girona, with 11 rappels and a longest drop of 28m. The approach is a short 5-minute walk from the C-17 at KM125.2, near the La Corba restaurant. Two cars are recommended, with the upper car parked 2 km past Bruguera on an asphalt track. The descent begins with an 8m rappel, followed by a nice 17m rappel requiring a mandatory handrail traverse to a hanging anchor. A 12m rappel follows. The canyon offers multiple escape routes to a track on the left or right after the third rappel. The second section includes a 7m/18m rappel that can be downclimbed, a 13m rappel into a pool, and a 7m slide-like rappel. Anchors are well-equipped with chemical hangers and parabolts, re-equipped in 2016-2017. A 2x30m rope is required, and a shorty wetsuit is recommended. The total descent time is around 2 hours, with a 40-minute return.
