Torrent de la Cua d’Euga Falgars d’en Bas, Girona

The Torrent de la Cua d’Euga is a vertical canyon near Falgars d’en Bas, requiring two 60m ropes. The approach involves a car shuttle, leaving one vehicle in Hostalet d’en Bas and driving the second to a track end near Casa Freixedella, followed by a 20-minute walk to the torrent. The descent features 4 rappels, with the longest being a significant 60m drop. Anchors are a mix of stainless steel parabolts and trees. While generally not requiring a wetsuit, one is recommended with high water flow. There are no escape routes once in the canyon. Allow 1.5 hours for the descent and 40 minutes for the return walk. Exercise caution when crossing the torrent, especially with increased water levels, as some anchors are high on the bank.
