Torrent de Gravet
The Torrent de Gravet, near Rupit, is a dry canyon with a trickle of water, featuring 5 rappels. The longest rappel is 30 m, and it requires a 60 m rope or two 30 m ropes. The approach takes 30 minutes, the descent 1 hour, and the return 35 minutes. Anchors are double chemical with double rings, generally in excellent condition. The descent begins with a clean 15 m rappel, followed by several downclimbs and pools. Rappels of 6 m and 7 m lead to the main 30 m rappel, which passes through a narrow section with high walls. This rappel is well-equipped for higher water flow, offering a fractionation and handrail to avoid the main cascade. The final 11 m rappel is downclimbable if dry. The return path is marked by a large cairn, leading up a narrow, sometimes overgrown trail, with the third channel being the most practical ascent to the plateau.
