Torrent de Ca l’Esgarrifós o Rec de la Talent

The Torrent de Ca l’Esgarrifós or Rec de la Talent, near Vallcebre, is a v4-a1-II canyon with 6 rappels, the longest being 35m. The 20-minute approach involves walking along a local road, then a path that crosses an electric fence, and finally descending towards the canyon bed from a mound. The descent includes a 30m rappel from a piton and spit, a 10m rappel from a tree, and two shorter rappels of 5m and 7m from stainless steel parabolts. The fifth rappel is 25m from a tree. Anchors are a mix of spits, parabolts, pitons, and trees. While generally dry, a wetsuit bottom or full suit is recommended if there's significant water flow. Two 40m ropes are needed. Escape routes are available, and a car shuttle is an option. The return walk is 1 hour.
