Torrent de Muiols
The Torrent de Muiols is a canyon with 8 rappels, the longest being 23m. The approach is a long 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Colonia Pernau parking in Campdevànol, following tracks and trails past a quarry, the Font de Sant Martí, and Coll de Grau, before descending to the second stream. The canyon's equipment has been recently re-equipped, with renewed cords and changed maillons, and two spits added where a single piton was previously used. The first rappel (R1) is a 15m ramp from a tree, leading directly to the next long rappel. An alternative 13m rappel exists to the left. No wetsuit is specified, suggesting it is often dry or low flow. The descent takes 2.5 hours, and the return walk is 1 hour. It is important to carry spare installation material.
