Barranco del Trigoniero Superior + Inferior

The Trigoniero canyon, combining its upper and lower sections, is a sustained aquatic descent near Parzán, requiring a full wetsuit and 2x40m ropes. The approach is a long 1h 45min hike from the parking, following the PR-HU180 trail, crossing a metallic bridge, and ascending in zig-zag to a meadow before dropping into the canyon. The descent features 14 rappels in the upper section and 6 in the lower, with the longest rappel being 32m. Anchors are generally good, consisting of parabolts with maillons or rings, and some trees. Notable rappels include a 15m drop into active water, a spectacular 32m waterfall, and a 36m rappel over a bridge with slippery ramps. This canyon is very active and can be powerful. An escape route is available. The return is a short 5-minute walk. The route was re-equipped in 2022.
