Canal de la Truja
Canal de la Truja, near Mas de Barberans, is a dry canyon with acceptable equipment, mainly trees and stainless steel parabolts. The 30-minute approach involves crossing a bridge, passing a vehicle barrier, and following a path through a meadow to a track that leads to the canyon. Two 30m ropes are needed. The descent includes three rappels. The first is 11m from a tree, with a somewhat exposed access. The second, 12m, is from two stainless steel parabolts and a tree, but note that one parabolt is loose and a tree anchor is partially rotten. The final 26m rappel from a tree is long and impressive, though vegetation can obstruct the experience. The 30-minute return involves traversing a bramble-filled section to another barranco, then following a parallel path.
