Barranco Yera 1 o Yera Superior

The Yera 1 canyon, or Yera Superior, is located near Vega de Pas. The approach can be done in 15 minutes with a car shuttle, or 45 minutes without, involving a steep, sometimes indistinct path to the top of R1. The canyon has variable water flow, visible from the road, and requires a full wetsuit and two 40 m ropes. The descent features 12 rappels, with the longest being 35 m. The first rappel is 30 m down a slippery ramp. R2 is 33 m, accessed via a fixed handline. Anchors are acceptable parabolts. There are several escape routes available. After the descent, the return is very short (1 minute) if using a car shuttle, or 30 minutes otherwise. This canyon is suitable for those with some experience due to its verticality and commitment.
