Barranco Yera 2 o Yera Inferior
The Barranco Yera 2, or Yera Inferior, is easily accessible from Vega de Pas. Park at KM5.15 on CA-631, either before the bridge for a direct approach or further up a track to cross a tunnel. The canyon always has water, visible from the parking area. The descent is short, starting after several slippery pools with a 5m rappel into a beautiful, shallow pool. A 9m rappel follows into a deeper, eroded pool; a fixed handline to a tree on the right allows bypassing the active flow if high. The route continues with a downclimb using a fixed rope from a tree, leading to another open pool. Anchors are parabolts and chemical bolts. A full wetsuit and a single 30m rope are required. The return is a quick 10-minute walk.
