Barranco de la Zangarriana reducido

The Zangarriana canyon, in its reduced version, offers a 30-minute approach from Cortés de Pallás to a prominent 75m drop. The descent includes four main rappels: a 5m initial drop, a spectacular 75m free-hanging rappel from a comfortable ledge, a 22m rappel over several ledges, and a 40m rappel. The anchors consist of parabolts and spits, with anti-friction devices on the long rappel. After a short downclimb, a 12m rappel leads to the final section. The return walk takes 40 minutes along the GR-7 trail and a track back to the parking. This route is well-equipped and offers great views during the approach and return.
