El Cajas is a high-altitude crag at 4000m in the El Cajas National Park, 35km from Cuenca. It features around 33 well-protected sport routes, mainly between 6a and 7c, spread across eight sectors. The volcanic rock offers excellent friction, demanding technical climbing with small crimps, slabs, and delicate balance moves. The approaches are generally comfortable. Be prepared for unstable weather and bring extra layers.
