Espiel, located about 50 km from Córdoba, is a highly recommended sport climbing crag in Andalusia, offering 98 routes across 3 sectors. The grey limestone provides technical climbing on crimps and slabs, but also features explosive overhangs. Around 60 routes are trad. The crag is well-equipped with bolts and quickdraws. With a predominantly south-facing aspect, it's best visited from late autumn to early spring to avoid the summer heat. Approaches range from 15 to 25 minutes.
