Guadalest is a newer crag in Pais Valencià, offering 72 routes on grey and yellow limestone. It features a variety of climbing styles including overhangs, technical slabs, and crimpy routes, predominantly in the mid-grades from 4 to 6c. Many routes are long, sustained, and well-equipped with M-10 parabolts. The crag is ideal for climbing from autumn to spring, as it can be too hot in summer. Sectors like Penya l'Alcalà offer multi-pitch routes up to three pitches with scenic views, with approaches as short as 5 minutes. The rock quality is excellent.
