La Cantera, near Jaén, offers 34 short, explosive sport routes on compact, orange limestone, generally slightly overhanging. The crag is ideal for training or climbing on unstable weather days, with a virtually non-existent approach to a pleasant olive grove at the base. Routes are well-equipped with parabolts and some chemical anchors, and most have names written at the start. The right side features smoother, more overhanging rock, with some chipped holds and artificial gym holds on certain routes. Grades range from 6a+ to 7c+.
