Mave, in Castilla y Leon, is the birthplace of sport climbing in Palencia, though it is now largely disused. It features 19 routes across two sectors, Placas and Desplomes, on limestone rock. Some older, mixed routes coexist with sport lines. The area is within a Protected Space, and it's not recommended to drive vehicles on the access road. Climbers should bring extra gear for routes with older or sparse equipment. Mave has a train stop for regional services.
