Peñartea, also known as Aitzertea, is a small limestone crag in the Sierra de Alaitz near Pamplona, ideal for beginners. It offers 112 sport routes, predominantly in the 5th and 6th grades, with generally new equipment. The crag is comfortable with short approaches to its nine sectors. Sectors like Pachá and Orraun Sur face south, while Placa, Elefante, and El Cilindro face northeast, providing varied sun exposure. Be aware that strong winds can be an issue here.
