Tajos de las Alcandoras, near Jaén, is a classic climbing sanctuary on limestone, known for its trad routes. The southwest-facing walls, up to 200m high in the Marionetas sector, offer varied climbing on slabs, cracks, overhangs, and many dihedrals. Located in a tranquil, wooded valley, the climate is extreme, with very cold winters and hot summers. The approach to Marionetas is 40 minutes.
